Click on “Add new” button and then click on “Upload theme” button. Here upload theme zip file.
Activate the theme.
For Plugin
Go to plugin, click on “Add New” button and then “Upload Plugin”.
Select the zip file of the plugin ThemeHunk customizer and activate the plugin.
Note – Your all customize options will only show when you activate the plugin on your dashboard.
General Setting
In this setting you can add the site information like a logo, site title, tagline for your site. Just open your dashboard, Go to “Appearance > Customize > General setting”.
Select your logo and site icon by clicking on “Select Image” button.

Magazine Template Options
Go to Dashboard > Pages > Add new page > template > Magazine template. After that publish the page and go to customize panel, here you can see the magazine template option, click on it.
Boxed layout
Here you can Disable or Enable the boxed layout for single page or for all pages. If you are using magazine template you can use this layout for better user experience.
Setting
You can pick the view all button color( this button is for showing more post on your site.) and category tab background color. You can pick different color for each category.
Header Layout
Set the header layout, for this first enable the boxed layout. Here you can choose header style, display adsense ad or banner ad image with link in the header.
Magazine template area without sidebar
Navigate to Magazine Content Area. In Magazine Content Area you can show your different post style widgets with full-width layout. Each Post Styles support drag and drop functionality.
Magazine template area with sidebar
Navigate to Magazine content area with sidebar. Show different post style widgets with sidebar, select the post style and set the sidebar alignment.
Five different Post style – You can use five different Thunk post style in your site.
Thunk Post Style 1 – In this post style you can show post image slider in the left column and other post in the right column. Setting of each column is different. Choose the category and put the number of post you want to show. Add featured title and pick color for each element.
Thunk Post Style 2 – Here you can show a post image slider. Just choose the category and the number of post you want to show in your slider. Add featured title and Pick color for each element. Thunk Post Style 3 – In this post slider you can show your post with their description and title. Just choose the category or recent post and the number of post you want to show in your slider. Add featured title and Pick color for each element. Thunk Post Style 4 – Here you can show your post with their description. Just choose the random post ( In random post you are able to show your latest post first) or category and the number of post you want to show in your slider. Add featured title and Pick color for each element. Thunk Post Style 5 – Here you can show your post in left column and right column with their description. Setting for both the column is different. Just choose the category or random post ( In random post you are able to show your latest post first) and the number of post you want to show. Pick color for each element.
Thunk News Slider – Add News slider for showing post news on your site. Just select the number of post, add the title and the category along with desired color for each element.
Thunk Adsense Widget -You can add multiple Ad on your site using Adsense widget by just putting the Google Adsense code in the text-area.
Thunk About me – In about me widget add title, upload an image, put description and link to read more text. Add social icon, Pick Font awesome icon. Paste the icon name(like : fa-camera-retro for camera icon) in the text area.
Thunk Recent post widget – Using this widget you can show your recent post. Just select the Recent post widget from widget section, Add title, put the number of post you want to show along with the post Excerpt length.
Thunk Social media widget – Show your social media profiles. Just put the link of your social media profile and add title to it. You can use this widget anywhere on your site.
Note : You can use the post style layouts and widgets for both Magazine content area and Magazine content area with sidebar.
How to Create Magazine Template
This section will show you how to create a Magazine template like our Demo.
Go to wp dashboard > Page > Add new page. Here create a page and then select Page attribute > template > Magazine template. Publish it .
Create your post, go to post > Add new. Here put title, description and assign category to that post.
After that open customize panel. Set newly created page as a static front page and save it.
For creating a Magazine layout like our demo, Now click on Magazine template. Go to Magazine content area
Select news slider widget. Add title e.g trending or Breaking news, number of post to show e.g 5, 10, choose the category ( post category ) and pick desired color for each element.
Choose Thunk post style 1. Here you can show a post slider in left column and other posts in right column. Just choose the desired post category for each column. Add a different featured post title along with their bg color and apply it. Just like our demo
Choose Thunk post style 2. Show your Top stories through post slider. Choose the category, number of post to show in slider along with color. Slider will be move by clicking the navigation button.
Now going with Magazine content area with sidebar. Set the sidebar alignment and add sidebar widget.
Choose Thunk post style 3. Here you can show your left column post with description and other remaining post in right column as shown in our demo. Just choose the category and the number of post to show with desired color.
Choose Thunk Ad widget. Here you can show your ad banner or Google ad by just adding the Google adsense code in the text area. In our demo we have shown a banner image with banner link. Just upload the banner image and place the link in text-area.
Choose Thunk post style 5. Here show your post in left and right column with description. Just choose the category and the number of post to show with desired color.
Choose Thunk post style 4. Here show your post in left column with description. Just choose the category and the number of post to show with desired color.
After doing all this, Set the typography, upload a logo or site title, choose theme color, Background color , Category bg color, Footer social icon with social media link and add copyright text. In this way you can design a beautiful magazine website, just like our demo. You can also add custom css in it.
Theme Option
To add theme options go to “Appearance > Customize > Theme options”. In theme options you get multiple options to change the whole styling of your site.
Global Setting – Using this option you can disable fixed header and activate normal header. You can also disable back to top button.
Global Color – You can set the theme color, Footer Widget Title Color, Footer Copyright Text Color and Footer copyright background color.
Top header setting – In top header setting you can show the present date and show the menu too.
Header Setting – In header setting you can set the header layout and if you want transparent header just check the box (this will be applied for front page template only). You can pick the header background color and other elements color.
Blog Post – In blog post setting you can choose the sidebar option for blog page, post layout standard and two grid layout. In Standard post Layout you can show your whole post on your homepage and in two grid layout you can show two-two post in a boxed grid layout.
In two grid layout you can disable the Post Excerpt Length ( By Post Excerpt you can set the character of post you want to show ) , choose the sidebar alignment, disable the post category , Read more text, disable read more text, post meta and prefix from your site.
In standard post layout choose the sidebar alignment, disable post category, post content, post meta and post share. Blog post are specially for Blog Template.
Single Post – Here you can set the sidebar alignment for single page. You can disable the Post Category, Post Meta, Featured Image, Related Post, Tag, Post Navigation and Post Share.
Page Option – Set the sidebar alignment for single page.
Footer Social Icon – You can add social icons in your footer with desired color.
Footer Option – Here you can write the copyright text in your footer.
Header Setting
Top Header – First set the menu for Top header. Just navigate to dashboard > Appearance > Menus. Here Create a menu add the desired items you want to show in your top header and check the box of Top menu given in Menu setting. Save the menu.
For top header setting go to customize > theme option > top header. In top header you are able to show the present date and social icons ( for social icon navigate to theme option > social icon). Pick the color of background, Date, menu and social icon. Note- Top header setting is both for Blog and magazine template.
Header Layout – This layout is for Magazine template. For header layout first go to Dashboard > Page > Add new page. Set the homepage and select magazine template. Now set your static front page, save it. Navigate to Customize > Magazine template > Header layout. In header layout choose the header style as header ad style. Upload a banner image with link or put google adsense code with link for showing your google ad.
Pick the menu color background color and you can change the menu text color from Theme option > Header setting > menu link color/ menu link hover color.
Put the responsive menu text ( For your mobile and ipad view) and for the responsive menu color, navigate to Theme option > Header setting > Responsive menu color.
Hero Post Slider
Hero Post Slider is specially for blog Template.
Go to “Appearance > Customize > Hero Post Slider”
In “Hero Post Slider ” you can choose category of post which you want to show in slider. You can show up-to 3 post slides and set the text alignment. You can also disable the post slider.
You can also set three different button style and pick color for each element.
How to Create Blog Template
This section will show you how to create a Blog template like our Demo.
Create your post, go to post > Add new. Here put title, description and assign category to that post.
Go to Appearance > Customize. Here choose Your latest posts as your front page and Publish it .
Now navigate to Hero post slider. Choose the desired post category, add number of post to show ( up-to 3 slides you can show), set the alignment of sidebar and pick desired color for each element.
Choose button styling along with the color of bg, hover color and text color.
For blog post setting. Navigate to Blog Post > choose post layout, set the alignment and add the post excerpt length. Note: You have chosen two grid layout in our demo but you can also choose the standard layout.
Choose the right sidebar alignment and add widgets from widget area.
Go to widgets > primary sidebar > recent post widget. Select this widget and show latest post with desired category and add number of post you want to show
Select Adsense widget and add a banner image with banner link.
For footer social icons just put the link of social media and choose the desired color.
After doing all this, Set the typography, upload a logo or site title, choose theme color, Background color , Category bg color, Do the header setting, single post setting and add copyright text. In this way you can design a beautiful magazine website, just like our demo. You can also add custom css in it.
Typography
For adding typography go to “Appearance > Customize > Typography”. Here multiple google font families are available.
In typography you can select the font subsets, Body font with Font size, Line height and letter spacing. Add heading h1 to h6 and anchor text with Font size, Line height and letter spacing.
Adsense Widget
Go to Dashboard > Widget > Thunk Adsense Widget. Drag and drop the widget in the Sidebar or Footer widget area.
Generate your code from Google Adsense and paste it in the text area, save it. In this way you are able to show Ad on your site easily. Or you can also show a banner ad image with link.
Custom CSS
In this section you can put your extra CSS code to manage your site.
Just Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Custom CSS and put your code here.
