1. Selecting and Installing Theme
For creating a Full Site Editing WordPress site we need a fast and functional Block theme that offers the best quality features. So we’re going to install a Fast & Lightweight Block Theme called Blockline
To install the Blockline theme Follow these steps:
Go to your WordPress Dashboard >> Appearance >> Themes >> Add New as you can see in the screenshot below.
Now Search for the Blockline Theme on the right search bar. and click on the Install button.
After installing the theme click on the Activate button.
2. Installing recommended plugins for extra features
Now we have to install a recommended Plugin for the WordPress block editor that will give some extra features to customize our website.
From your Dashboard go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Blockline Options and from here install the Recommended plugin Unlimited Block For Gutenberg as you can see in the screenshot below.
3. Setting Up the Website
Now we have to set up our website using WordPress block editor. To edit your website go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Editor as shown in the screenshot below.
Now we have to customize our theme as per our needs. Let’s now understand the whole elements that feature this block editor.
Now you will see an Editor where you can customize your website pages. As you can see below screenshot on the right side there is a sidebar panel with some settings.
You can change or select various Styles from the Browse Style tab. and also from here you can change the Typography, colour and Layout of the theme.
You can change different colour palettes, there are more than 9+ colour styles that you can use to change the colour of your whole website. as you can see in the below screenshot.
You can access these colour styles from Dashboard > Appearance > Editor > Style > Browse Style
For extra features, you can use Unlimited Blocks
To use Unlimited Blocks click on Toggle block inserter and here you will see Unlimited Blocks as mentioned in the screenshot below.
There are various Pre-made Blocks like Advance columns, Advance sliders, icons, maps, Progress bars, Post layouts etc.
You can use these blocks as per your needs.
You can Customize the appearance of specific blocks and the whole site to access this setting click on the Blocks option as you can see in the screenshot below.

- The top bar represents the Elements of your website that include Text, Media, Design, Widgets and Theme. You can click on any of the tabs to change the appearance.
- You can select a specific block to customize its appearance.
For example, if you select the Heading Block then you can customize the Headings of your website. and if you change anything like colour or typography then it will be applied to the entire site.
You can also customize the appearance of specific blocks for the entire site. For eg: you can choose a background colour and set the font size and line height for all the Quote blocks on your site.
